Kadria Milani has helped people of all ages achieve their health and fitness goals through well thought out, thorough, and efficiently planned workouts for over 30 years on the Monterey Peninsula. She has honed in her own way of blending the principles inherent in the practice of yoga, the structure of weight training, the adaptability of Pilates, the art and precision of ballet training, the power of a focused mind and last but not least, the knowledge that as the Romans would say, “A Healthy Mind Resides in a Healthy Body”. Her curiosity about Physiology, Psychology, the Nervous system, the importance of having fun and feeling safe has steered her teaching style to be joyful, inclusive, and empowering for everyone.

Kadria is passionate about the potential of the body when it is allowed to move freely and safely with strength and balance.

Trained as a classical ballet dancer in two of the most extraordinary ballet schools in Paris, she knows first hand what a strict but supportive teacher can do. Above all, Kadria believes that anything done with joy and love transcends physical and mental limits and leads to a beautiful, and healthy life.

Kadria loves working with people of all ages and fitness levels and strives to create a positive and supportive environment for everyone. With a keen eye to detail, never missing to notice, she affectionately calls her,”students” her, “kids” no matter what age, as she attentively watches them evolve. Her mission is and always has been to inspire and empower people to live healthier and happier lives through fun and safe exercise.

Kadria has taught at many of the fitness centers on the Monterey Peninsula including InShape in Carmel and Monterey, The Monterey Sports Center, Garden Health and Fitness and Gold’s Gym, and the Carmel Foundation.

In her free time Kadria enjoys her family above all, reading novels written with heart, cycling by the ocean and up mountains, traveling to lands with castles, lifting weights, cooking gourmet meals for anyone who’ll let her, snuggling with her cat Muriel, squeezing her granddog Penny, and trying to teach her husband how to pronounce complicated Italian and French words.
